महाराष्ट्र के धाराशिव (उस्मानाबाद) जिले के तुलजापुर में स्थित तुलजाभवानी मंदिर भारत के प्रमुख शक्तिपीठों में से एक माना जाता है। यह मंदिर माता भवानी को समर्पित है, जिन्हें देवी दुर्गा का शक्तिशाली स्वरूप माना जाता है। इतिहासकारों के अनुसार वर्तमान मंदिर का निर्माण लगभग 12वीं से 13वीं शताब्दी के बीच यादव वंश के शासनकाल में हुआ था, हालांकि इस स्थान की धार्मिक मान्यता इससे भी कहीं अधिक प्राचीन मानी जाती है। यह मंदिर छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज के जीवन से भी गहराई से जुड़ा हुआ है। माना जाता है कि शिवाजी महाराज माता तुलजाभवानी के परम भक्त थे और किसी भी महत्वपूर्ण युद्ध से पहले यहां आकर आशीर्वाद लेते थे। लोककथाओं के अनुसार माता भवानी ने उन्हें प्रसिद्ध "भवानी तलवार" प्रदान की थी, जो साहस और धर्म की रक्षा का प्रतीक मानी जाती है। हालांकि इस घटना का स्पष्ट ऐतिहासिक प्रमाण उपलब्ध नहीं है, फिर भी यह कथा महाराष्ट्र की सांस्कृतिक और धार्मिक परंपरा का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है।
