📜 History
Ramoji Film City has an interesting history that goes beyond movies and film shooting. It was established in 1996 by media entrepreneur **Ramoji Rao**, the founder of the Eenadu Group. His dream was to create a place where an entire film could be made without moving to different locations. At that time, filmmakers had to travel from one city to another for different scenes, which increased both time and production costs. To solve this problem, Ramoji Rao developed a massive film studio on nearly 2,000 acres of land near Hyderabad. The project was planned with world-class technology, ready-made film sets, gardens, hotels, roads, railway stations, airports, temples, villages, palaces, and modern city streets—all within one campus. This made filmmaking much easier and faster. Over the years, Ramoji Film City has become one of the largest integrated film studios in the world and is recognised by the Guinness World Records. Thousands of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and international films, television serials, advertisements, and reality shows have been shot here. Many famous actors and directors have worked at this studio, making it an important part of Indian cinema. Today, Ramoji Film City is not only a production hub but also one of Hyderabad's biggest tourist attractions. Visitors come here to experience movie sets, live entertainment, adventure activities, and behind-the-scenes filmmaking, making it a unique destination for people of all ages.
