About Horsley Hills

Horsley Hills is one of the most charming hill stations in Andhra Pradesh, situated in the Eastern Ghats at an altitude of approximately 1,265 meters above sea level. The hill station was developed by British Collector W.D. Horsley during the late nineteenth century and later became a popular summer retreat. Today, it is widely known as the "Ooty of Andhra Pradesh" because of its cool climate and scenic beauty.

The destination is covered with dense forests containing eucalyptus, sandalwood, and other native tree species. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of valleys, rocky hills, and lush greenery from famous viewpoints such as Gali Bandalu (Wind Rocks) and Horsley Hills View Point. The region remains pleasantly cool throughout the year, with temperatures generally ranging from 15°C to 30°C.

Horsley Hills is also known for its adventure activities, including trekking, rappelling, zip-lining, and nature walks. Attractions such as Gangotri Lake, Mallamma Temple, Kalyani Eucalyptus Tree, Environmental Park, and the small zoo offer enjoyable experiences for visitors of all ages. The hill station is rich in biodiversity and is home to numerous bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.

The peaceful atmosphere, fresh mountain air, and stunning landscapes make Horsley Hills an excellent weekend getaway from Bengaluru, Tirupati, and nearby cities. Whether you want to relax amid nature, enjoy photography, experience adventure sports, or simply escape urban life, Horsley Hills provides a memorable and refreshing experience.
