About Dudhwa National Park

Established in 1977, Dudhwa National Park covers dense Terai grasslands, marshes, and sal forests. It became a Tiger Reserve under Project Tiger in 1988 and is also part of the larger Dudhwa Tiger Reserve ecosystem.
The park is especially known for:
🐅 Bengal Tigers
🦏 Reintroduced One-Horned Rhinoceros
🦌 Swamp Deer (Barasingha)
🐘 Asian Elephants
🐆 Leopards
🐦 450+ species of birds
The park shares its northern boundary with Nepal, creating an important wildlife corridor connected to protected areas like Shuklaphanta National Park.
Its mix of grasslands and wetlands makes it one of the richest biodiversity zones in Uttar Pradesh.
