WaterfallAshoka Waterfall is located near Vihigaon village, about 12 km from Igatpuri, in the Western Ghats region of Maharashtra. The waterfall gained popularity after scenes from Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Asoka were filmed here, hence the name.
During the monsoon season, the waterfall flows in full force, creating a dramatic cascade that falls from a rocky cliff into a natural pool below. The surrounding area is covered with lush green vegetation, mist, and cool air, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers, photographers, and trekkers.
The waterfall is accessible by a short trek from the parking area. The path can be slippery during rains, so caution is required. Local villagers often manage parking and basic facilities during peak season.
